Time flys when you work in IT

Yeah so I promised to blog, but I am too busy yucking up photoshop and my new Wacom tablet, check out these digital piccys I made and edited... ya like?
 
So I promise I will bring you photos and more fun stuff later... if I ever actually sleep right...

i carry your heart with me

Last night Yvonne and a I decided to sit out till midnight in my back yard drinking Strongbow and Bacardi.  It's quite remarkable how as the booze flows I get warmer, and the desire to pick up my camera gets stronger.  My camera and Photoshop have really been all I have thought about since I finished exams 2 weeks ago.  It's a healthy sign I want to develop my talents... Last night I managed to take one of my most beautiful pictures so far, no editing required...
 
Today is freezing cold and booze was not on the agenda to keep warm...  considering the summer-like weather of the past few days it's a shock to the system.  So what better way to spend my day then parked on my keister in front of Photoshop.  I mananged to create a pretty nice desktop background using some new brushes and the help of ee cummings (possibly one fo my favorite poems ever)...

First, I am a student; it defines so much of who I am. I am very active in student politics and advocate for education every chance I get. I am working on my business degree and I am driven and am always up for a challenge.

Second, I am a mom. My son is a stellar little punk who skateboards, plays way too much video games, and loves to hike. He’s 7, and a huge part of my life.

Third, I absolutely have 2 sets of manners. Even though I am the 2 above things, I still love to listen to metal, punk and rock, and am known on occasion to curse. I am a girl gamer and an internet g33k.

Finally, I love art and creativity in any form. I am passionate about photography and writing. I could not live without music to inspire and drive me. Nor could I live without travel, haven’t been to too many places, but have enjoyed my wanderings and photographing the world around me.
